Time and Consciousness among the Maya

The Relevance of Ancestral Tools in the Modern World

This talk began years before I stepped onto the TEDx stage

@Sanará Tulum Hotel.

Years before they became the founders of Sanará Tulum Hotel and The Real Coconut, Daniella and Charlie came to Tulum as visitors and received a Maya Reading from me. What they encountered through that reading affected them deeply and became part of what inspired them to change the direction of their lives, move to Tulum, and create what would eventually become Sanará Hotel.

Years later, standing inside the hotel they had built, Charlie looked around and reflected something extraordinary back to me: Sanará existed, in part, because of what had begun with that reading.

When TEDx Tulum was held at Sanará in 2015, they invited me to share the work that had played such a meaningful role in their own journey.

It remains one of the many extraordinary ways I have witnessed a reading move beyond the moment itself and into

the architecture of a life.

The questions that have shaped nearly three decades

of practice

For nearly three decades,

Aiesha’s work has explored the human being across consciousness, relationship, embodiment, vitality, and purpose. From Maya consciousness and Toltec practice to lucid dreaming, sacred intimacy, nutrition, herbalism, and longevity, seemingly different disciplines have become part of a deeper inquiry: how much of who we have become is the result of conditioning, and what becomes possible as we learn to recognize and cultivate what is intrinsic to our nature?

Her conversations explore how ancestral knowledge, sustained practice, and lived experience can illuminate not only who we have become, but the deeper capacities available to us as human beings.

01 · CONSCIOUSNESS & PERCEPTION

Beyond Conditioning: The Architecture of Consciousness

How much of what we call our “self” is truly ours? Aiesha explores the architecture beneath conditioned identity, and how Maya consciousness, Toltec practice, dreaming, the oracle, and sustained self-observation can help us recognize the forces shaping perception. These conversations examine what becomes possible when we learn to distinguish inherited patterns from our deeper capacities, refine the way we perceive reality, and participate more consciously in the unfolding intelligence of our lives.

02 · RELATIONSHIP & EMBODIMENT

Sacred Intimacy & the Intelligence of Relationship

Our relationships reveal dimensions of ourselves that solitude cannot. Aiesha explores intimacy as a territory of consciousness, where desire, polarity, vulnerability, trust, devotion, and the patterns we carry from the past become visible through another. Rather than approaching relationship as something to perfect, these conversations ask how love and sacred intimacy can become practices through which we recognize conditioning, reclaim energy, deepen embodiment, and learn to meet another human being with greater freedom and presence.

03 · VITALITY & LONGEVITY

The Body as an Instrument of Consciousness

Vitality is not simply the absence of illness. Aiesha explores the body as the living instrument through which consciousness is perceived, expressed, and brought into action. Drawing from decades of work with nutrition, herbalism, cleansing, bodywork, movement, and embodied practice, these conversations examine how the way we nourish and inhabit the body can support energy, resilience, longevity, sensory intelligence, and our capacity to remain fully engaged with life.

04 · PURPOSE & SOVEREIGNTY

Living the Life That Is Actually Yours

Purpose is not necessarily something we need to find. It may emerge as we recover enough freedom to recognize what has been asking to live through us all along. Aiesha explores sovereignty, choice, purpose, innocence, and sacred service through the question of what becomes possible when a human being stops organizing life primarily around conditioning, expectation, and approval, and begins living in deeper alignment with their own nature and relationship with infinity.

Conversation threads:
life purpose · sovereignty · freedom · choice · reclaiming innocence · inner child · sacred service · personal responsibility · relationship with infinity
